10 pupils from Year 10 just successfully completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Practice Expedition. These pupils headed off early on Saturday morning and navigated their way around Ballypatrick Forest before heading to Watertop Open Farm to camp. At the farm they had the opportunity to see rabbits, puppies, a llama and more. The pupils cooked their own food for the evening, particularly popular were super noodles and beans. On the Sunday they headed off again after a good night’s sleep to complete their journey, visiting a vanishing lake along the way. All pupils performed exemplarily throughout the weekend and can now look forward to their qualifying expedition along the north coast in June.
