A day in the life with Maisie
I am dropped off at school around 8:20 and I go to form class each morning. I arrive early each day before the first bell at 8:40am, I’m usually the first or second pupil there. Each morning we complete different activities during registration such as brainteasers, guess the country etc and my form tutor reads important announcements to us.
Each Monday, we have an assembly with all of the pupils within our year group. After form class/assembly each day, I make my way to my first period class and then my second period class – the subject varies so I use a timetable to help me know where I’m going.
After the second period it’s breaktime so I go to the break club with my friends. We sit together and it’s awesome to be with my friends.
Once break is over I go to the third and fourth period, on Thursday and Friday we do PE.
When it’s lunch time I go to the safe space with my friends and each Monday, I attend our school council where we talk about important stuff. I go to the fifth and sixth period (but on Monday and Friday we leave after the fifth period.) At the end of each day, my teacher escorts our class to the front entrance and there I wait for my brother before going home.
I love going to ICG and I love all the subjects but my favorite subject is Home Economics. We are learning how to cook food and stay safe when in the kitchen and when making food. I hope you join us at ICG!

Insights from Year 8
On my first day of ICG, I was scared but when I arrived on the first morning it was brilliant. The teachers helped me and settled me in and I loved it. My favourite subject is PE and I love it so much. I go to the after school football club and I also go to the breakfast club each morning for a yummy breakfast.
Ollie Coleman – Ligoneil Primary School
When I first came here, I only knew my sister, but when I walked in, the teachers comforted me. Now I have lots of friends and nice teachers. My favourite subject is drama because of my teacher. I go to Drama after school club and so do most of my friends. I went to Breckenhill and had so much fun because of my friends.
Anais Shore, Park Lodge/Our Lady of Lourdes
When I first arrived at ICG I was excited because ICG is a much bigger school and I knew some people there. I feel happy attending ICG. I really enjoy attending the craft club at lunch time each Friday. Everyone at ICG is kind and helpful and you can talk to anyone. I enjoy Maths because we play fun games like bingo. I would recommend ICG to P7s because everyone is kind and helpful and if you are lost, you can ask someone where to go and they will show you where to go.
Kensie Bell, Mossgrove Primary School
Regardless of ability, the school will nurture every pupil to reach their potential and help them to be equipped to face our changing world.
At the heart of Integrated College Glengormley is the desire to see young people thrive with one another, because of one another.
