The Art and Design Department at Glengormley High school is an extremely vibrant, and energetic department. Currently we have 3 Art teachers in our Department. Art and Design is enjoyed by all Key Stage 3 pupils, and is offered at GCSE, AS and A2. During KS3 we experiment with many different Art forms such as sculpture, painting, printing and digital media.

GCSE and Sixth form Art are supported through the development of practical skills, encouraging all pupils to reach their full potential, which is reflected by consistently high results, and successful Art College applications.

Aims

To provide every pupil with a safe and vibrant space to express themselves through the medium of Art, where everyone is given the opportunity to learn and develop new and exciting creative skills.
