OPPORTUNITIES

  • Social Mobility Business Partnership (Year 13 Students). This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to get 5 days work insight with some of our leading employers (BT, Herbert Smith Freehills, PwC and UTV) and resilience training at Ulster Rugby. Food and Travel Provided. Those successfully selected will also receive ongoing online support from industry experts after they have participated on the programme.  Students can attend sessions across the city (25 March – 4 April) that will give them extra information and support with making an application to the SMBP and some tips on preforming well at interview if selected. They can also apply online without attending (all in link).
  • Hospitality Easter Programme (Year 12) and Summer Hospitality Programme (Year 10). Students will get the opportunity to (i) work in different roles in some of Belfast’s prestigious hotels, (ii) eat meals in some of the city’s new restaurants, learn Barrista and Mocktail making skills and (iv) meet people who work in industry and get career pathway advice.  They will learn about the wide range of job opportunities in this fast growing sector in our city.  Food and Travel provided. Students/parents can attend sessions across the city (25 March – 4 April).  At this session they will have the opportunity to find out more about the programme on offer, opportunities in the hospitality sector and also they will be shortlisted or selected to participate in the programme.  
  • Employment Academies – support finding employment (for everyone – if you could please share with parents).  Anyone (especially parents/guardians can come along to find out about the range of academies in place to help people secure employment, or start their own business.
